Care Team Member - Medical Revenue Cycle Specialist

Ethos Wellness is seeking a Care Team Member for its Woodway location.

Ethos Wellness - Woodway is part of Ethos Behavioral Health Group. EBHG, a family of integrated healing centers, offers specialized and personalized mental health care for anything ranging from substance use disorders to mood and personality disorders via inpatient care.

Medical Revenue Cycle Specialist Position Summary:

The Medical Revenue Cycle Specialist is responsible for collecting patients’ financial responsibilities as well as non-clinical administrative duties. We are requiring at least 3 years of comprehensive A/R follow up and denials experience to include research of claim denials, calling insurance companies, and payer portals usage. Dedicated follow up to claim resolution. Need to have a thorough understanding of health insurance and government programs. They also need to be able to navigate the complexities of the medical billing industry.

Work Schedule: Full time: Monday to Friday (flexible hours - possible evening hours)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assisting with the communication of financial status to patients or families
2. Completing financial paperwork and coordinate signatures
3. Collecting clinical fees
4. Documenting and reporting on patients with unpaid balances
5. Preparing and submitting medical claims to insurance companies
6. Handling incoming payments and tracking accounts receivable
7. Handling claim denials and working with the financial department to resubmit or appeal claims
8. Collaborating with billing specialists, providers, and administrative staff
9. Ensuring compliance with state and federal laws and regulations
10. Analyzing underpayment risk areas to ensure audit accuracy
