Emily Couey

Emily Couey is an accomplished HR leader with extensive experience in various roles across multiple organizations. Currently serving as VP of People at Ethos since April 2024, Couey also acts as a Coach at the Miller Center for Social Entrepreneurship and provides advisory support to Osmind and PeopleTech Partners. As a founding member of CPOHQ, Couey engages with Chief People Officers to share knowledge on evolving people operations. Previously, Couey held significant executive positions at Illumio and Eventbrite, where leadership in Human Resources contributed to substantial company growth. With a background that includes founding Emily Couey HR Consulting and working at Genomic Health, Couey possesses a wealth of expertise in developing people strategies and organizational culture. Couey holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management from California State University, Chico.
