Mika Oijennus

Mika Oijennus has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Mika started their career at Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences, where they worked as a Simulation Trainee and later as a Project Engineer & Lecturer. In these roles, they provided services for SME businesses, including project sales, implementation of process development, robotics, and ERP systems, as well as lecturing on various topics such as IT, 3D-CAD, factory- and robot simulation.

After their time at the university, Mika worked at Rautaruukki Oyj as a Product Engineer, where they were responsible for sales and pre-fabricated steel parts, as well as being a SAP main user.

Mika then moved to Delfoi Oy, where they served as a Senior Consultant and Project Manager. In this role, they provided process development consultancy for global customers, utilizing factory simulation tools and robotics. Mika also played a key role in sales and implementation of simulation-based scheduling (MES) systems.

Currently, Mika is working at Etteplan as a Regional Director & Key Account Manager. Mika previously held the positions of Regional Director and Area Manager at the same company.

Mika Oijennus received a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechatronics from Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences in 2003. Mika then obtained a Master of Science (Technology) in Production Engineering and Industrial Management from Tampere University of Technology in 2007. Prior to their university education, they attended Vaasa Vocational School & Upper Secondary School with a focus on Automation.
