Zoë Milgrom

Founder and Chief Clinical Officer at Eugene

Zoë Milgrom has extensive experience in the field of genetic counseling and healthcare. Zoë founded Eugene Labs in 2017 and served as the Founder and Chief Clinical Officer. At Eugene Labs, Zoë developed clinical-grade at-home genetic tests and provided digital genetic counseling. Zoë focused on helping people make informed decisions about their health and aimed to provide expert and convenient healthcare services.

Prior to founding Eugene Labs, Zoë worked as a Genetic Counselor at Melbourne IVF from 2012 to 2017. In this role, they provided counseling to couples undergoing genetic screening or diagnostic analysis of embryos as part of their IVF treatment. Zoë also advocated for couples and acted as a liaison between the multidisciplinary team coordinating their treatment. Additionally, Zoë served on the donor committee, where they conducted clinical risk assessments and provided counseling on genetic recurrence risks for recipients of donors.

Before joining Melbourne IVF, Zoë worked as an Associate Genetic Counselor at The Royal Women's Hospital in 2012 and at Sydney Children's Hospitals Network from 2007 to 2011. In both positions, they provided counseling and support to individuals with high-risk pregnancies and worked collaboratively with a team of genetic counselors and geneticists.

Throughout their career, Zoë has demonstrated a dedication to providing compassionate healthcare and empowering individuals to make informed decisions about their genetic health.

Zoë Milgrom completed their Bachelor of Behavioural Neuroscience degree from Monash University between the years 2000 and 2002. Zoë then pursued a Graduate Diploma of Science from Monash University in 2003. In 2004, Zoë completed their Honours degree in Genetics from Monash University, specializing in Human/Medical Genetics. Finally, they obtained a Graduate Diploma of Genetic Counselling from the University of Melbourne in 2006.
