Copernicus Data Processing Operations Engineer at EUMETSAT

Jorge Sánchez Motellón has a diverse work experience in various industries. Jorge began their career in 2006 as a Radiocommunication Project role at Universidad de Alcalá. In 2009, they joined Telefonica Innovation as a Web Developer, where they developed interfaces and applications for internal incident resolution. Jorge then moved on to Indra, where they worked as an ASR Engineer, specializing in Primary Surveillance Radar. Jorge led on-site projects internationally and optimized system performance. During this time, they were also part of the company's talent program for employees with accelerated development. In 2016, they joined Advanced Computer Systems A.C.S. Srl as a SENTINEL-3 PDGS Operations Software Engineer, focusing on the development, support, maintenance, and operations of aerospace software. Jorge was responsible for system integration, testing, and handling anomalies, among other tasks. In 2018, they joined CS GROUP as a COPERNICUS Data Processing Operations Engineer, a role they continued until February 2021. Currently, they are employed by EUMETSAT in the same role, which they started in March 2021.

Jorge Sánchez Motellón pursued their education in Telecommunications Engineering at the Universidad de Alcalá. From 2002 to 2005, they completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Telecommunications Engineering at the same university. Following this, they continued their academic journey and obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the Universidad de Alcalá between 2006 and 2009.
