Julia Hunter-Anderson has a diverse work experience in the aerospace industry. Julia currently works at EUMETSAT as a MTG System Engineer and LEOP Manager, overseeing the launch and early operations of spacecraft. At the University of Warwick, they serve as a Visiting Industrial Professor, providing consultancy services for space systems engineering and supporting the WUSAT program. Julia also founded blue-space sustainability, a social enterprise focusing on technology solutions for global challenges. Previously, Julia worked as a Systems Designer and Director at Blue-Space Systems, where they were involved in the Meteosat Third Generation (MTG) Programme. Julia has also consulted for various organizations, including EUMETSAT and the Vega Group, specializing in satellite operations and system development. Julia's expertise extends to space engineering and sustainability consultancy. Julia has held various leadership roles, such as Team Leader for the Meteosat Second Generation (MSG) Spacecraft and System Operations Preparation, and was involved in the early development of the MSG multi-satellite system. Julia has also been actively involved in conference organization and has contributed to the field of automation and onboard software in the aerospace industry.

Julia Hunter-Anderson has an extensive education history. Julia attended Clayesmore School in Iwerne Minster, Dorset from 1977 to 1985. Julia then went on to the University of Birmingham, where they obtained a BSc (Hons) in Physics with Astrophysics from 1985 to 1988.

In 1990, Julia attended the International Space University, where they received a Certificate in Space Studies. This program had a multidisciplinary approach, covering various subjects such as space business, engineering, life sciences, satellite applications, law, and policy.

Julia's academic journey continued at the University of Warwick - Warwick Business School, where they pursued an MBA from 1996 to 2005. Julia completed their MBA with distinction, demonstrating their academic excellence.

Finally, Julia attended the United Nations University - Institute of Advanced Studies in Yokohama, Japan, from 2011 to 2013. Here, they earned an MSc in Environmental Governance, with a specialization in Biodiversity.
