Karim H.

Section Head at EUMETSAT

Karim H. has extensive work experience in various companies and roles. Karim started their career at IGL as a System and Process Modelling Methodologies Engineer, where they conducted research, provided training, and offered quality assurance expertise. Karim then joined CNES as a Quality Assurance Manager and later became the System Operations Manager, overseeing the development of large-sized satellite systems. Karim H. also worked as a University Teacher at Université Paul Sabatier Toulouse III and as a Group Leader at the European Southern Observatory, where they defined standards and processes for the ESO Data Flow System. Currently, they are employed at EUMETSAT as a Section Head, leading change management initiatives. Karim also served as the Chairman of the EUMETSAT Staff Association Committee. Throughout their career, Karim H. has played a crucial role in the development and operation of various scientific and technological systems.

Karim H. completed their Baccalaureat in Sciences and Mathematique from Lycee International Francais during the period of 1972 to 1979. Later, from 1982 to 1985, they attended ENAC - Ecole Nationale de l'Aviation Civile and obtained a Diploma Ingenieur in Aeronautique and Electronique. In terms of additional certifications, Karim earned a Change Management Practitioner certification from APMG-International in November 2012. Karim also received a Habilitation Confidentiel Défense, Secret Défense certification from the French Ministry for Armed Forces in 1990.
