Copernicus Sentinel-3 Spacecraft Operations Engineer at EUMETSAT

Luca Ventimiglia has a diverse work experience in the field of spacecraft operations engineering. Luca began their career with SCISYS GMBH in 2003 and worked there until 2016. During this time, they held various roles and responsibilities, including being an EPS METOP - Spacecraft Operations Engineer, an Operations Preparation Engineer for SENTINEL 6 / JASON CS, and a Spacecraft Operations Engineer. In 2016, they joined EUMETSAT as a Copernicus Sentinel-3 Spacecraft Operations Engineer, where they focused on satellite system operations and followed various processes and procedures. Prior to their work in spacecraft operations, Luca Ventimiglia gained valuable experience as an Avionic Systems Engineer with Vulcanair S.P.A., where they completed a 12-month internship and attended specialized courses.

Luca Ventimiglia completed their education at three different institutions. From 1987 to 1992, they attended Liceo Scientifico, although the specific degree and field of study are not provided. Following this, from 1992 to 2002, Luca studied Aerospace Engineering at Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II, focusing on the engineering aspect of the field. In 1998, they also spent a year at the University of Glasgow, specializing in Avionics within the Aerospace Engineering discipline.
