Nana Bach

Nana Bach has a strong background in engineering and operations within the space industry. In 2004, they started their career as a Software Engineer Gaia Project at ARI Heidelberg, where they worked until 2007. Nana then joined Aurora for European Space Agency as a Science Operations Engineer for Gaia SOC. In this role, they focused on developing, testing, validating, and operating the Scientific Data Processing Pipelines for Gaia. Nana also managed the Gaia Transfer System to ensure data transfer to the Data Processing Centers across Europe. Nana's dedication to the field led their to Aurora Space in 2017, where they became a Test and Integration Engineer for Solar Orbiter SOC. After working on this project for two years, they recently joined EUMETSAT in 2019 as an MTG Ground Segment Engineer.

Nana Bach completed a Master's Degree in Computer Science in the Health Care (Medical Informatics) from Heidelberg University, from 2001 to 2007. Additionally, in August 2015, Nana obtained certification in Software Test Foundation Level from the ISTQB - International Software Testing Qualifications Board.
