Ground Segment Systems Engineer (on Behalf Of Serco) at EUMETSAT

Ornella Sabrina Mbajon has a diverse range of work experience in the space industry. Ornella Sabrina started their career at Cranfield University as a postgraduate student, where they pursued a Master's degree in Astronautics and Space Engineering from September 2010 to February 2012.

Following their education, Ornella joined CGI in January 2012 as a Space Consultant within the Earth Observation & Satcoms line of business. During their time at CGI, they took on various roles, including bid support, test management, and Domain Lead Engineer for the Dissemination domain. Ornella transitioned to the role of Space Technical Manager in January 2018, where they managed the maintenance service, oversaw subcontractors, and provided technical guidance to lead engineers. Ornella Sabrina worked at CGI until March 2019.

From March 2019 to October 2020, Ornella worked as a Space Systems Consultant at Telespazio VEGA UK. In this role, they were involved in project management and control, including projects for ECMWF's EQCSIS, ESA's Climate Change Initiative Knowledge Exchange, and U-DRAGON. Ornella Sabrina also contributed to bid proposals in response to Invitations To Tender.

Currently, Ornella is working at EUMETSAT since October 2020 as a Ground Segment Systems Engineer on behalf of Serco. Their responsibilities include engineering activities in support of Operations and Maintenance of EUMETSAT's ground segments. These activities involve requirements engineering, system and interface design, integration, verification and validation, MBSE, and contributing to operations.
