Andreas Dernbach

Andreas Dernbach has a diverse work experience in the fields of monitoring, evaluation, and project coordination. Andreas has held positions at various organizations, including EUPOL COPPS, where they currently serve as the Head of Planning, Reporting, and Evaluation Unit. Previously, they worked as a Monitoring Officer and Gender Focal Point in Donetsk, Ukraine for OSCE. Andreas also worked as a Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist for Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and Hydroment Consulting Engineers SA. Prior to that, they held the role of Senior Evaluator for GIZ and the Institute for International Cooperation of the German Adult Education Assoc. Dernbach has extensive international experience, having worked on projects in countries such as Egypt, the Philippines, Afghanistan, Rwanda, and Vietnam. Andreas has a strong background in designing and implementing monitoring systems, collecting and analyzing primary and secondary data, and conducting evaluations. Andreas Dernbach completed their education with a Bachelor's degree in Economics (Volkswirtschaftslehre) from Freie Universität Berlin between 1982 and 1986. Andreas then pursued further studies at the same university and obtained a Diplom-Pädagoge (Erwachsenenbildung) degree in Education from 1980 to 1987. Recently, in 2017, they received a Certificate in Evaluation from Miehlbradt Consulting Ltd. and Hans Posthumus Consultancy.
