James Neve

James Neve, PhD, is a Principal Engineer at Eureka, Inc. since December 2016, specializing in research and development within machine learning and back-end systems. Their notable contributions include developing user detection systems utilizing random forest classifiers and CNNs, as well as implementing collaborative filtering and tag-search systems. Prior to this, James served as a Senior Engineer at Eureka, where James created a text moderation service. James has a PhD in Recommender Systems from the University of Bristol and a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Cambridge. Their experience also includes leadership roles in software development at Nyle Inc., founding AKBlogs, and teaching English through the Berlitz Corporation. Additional roles include significant software engineering projects in various organizations and participation in academic research internships.
