Ashkbiz Danehkar (He/Him)

Scientist II at Eureka Scientific, Inc.

Ashkbiz (Ash) Danehkar is an astrophysicist currently working at Eureka Scientific, Inc. His research in X-ray astronomy and computational astrophysics is funded by NASA grants. Ash received his PhD in physics and astronomy from Macquarie University in 2014. His research at Macquarie focused on planetary nebulae, and he has been involved with the physical conditions, chemical abundances, and morpho-kinematics. After his PhD, Danehkar was a postdoctoral fellow at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics from 2015 to 2018. During this time, Ash worked on a variety of projects, including studying the ultra-fast outflows in active galactic nuclei (AGN). In 2019, Ashkbiz Danehkar joined the University of Michigan as a research fellow. Danehkar conducted his research on starburst-driven outflows in star-forming galaxies, and he also began working on hydrodyamic outflow simulations. Ash Danehkar became an astrophysicist at Eureka Scientific, Inc. in 2022. He is currently working on a variety of projects related to AGN, as well as the spins of supermassive black holes.
