Jani Ahola

Jani Ahola has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries.

Jani began their career at Sitra in 1998 as a researcher, where they conducted a study on alternative marketplaces for small growth companies.

In 1999, Jani joined Nasdaq as a Specialist in market supervision activities, including order and trade cancellation and market surveillance. Jani was also involved in the implementation project of covered warrants and exchange-traded funds in the Finnish market. Later, they became a Senior Development Manager at Nasdaq, leading migration projects and implementing trading functional changes.

In 2005, Jani moved to Eurex as part of a secondment from the Helsinki Stock Exchange. Jani took care of trading Finnish derivatives products and provided supervision for equity, fixed income, index, money market, and energy derivatives.

After that, Jani held various positions at Cathodex Oy, CathoTec Oy, and Eurex. At Cathodex Oy, they served as the Head of International Operations, overseeing the establishment of maintenance companies in Zambia, Mexico, and Chile. As a Founding Partner and Board Member at CathoTec Oy, they were responsible for strategic planning, partnership decisions, and customer relationship management. At Eurex, Jani held roles such as Head of Trading Control, Head of Trading Operations, and Market Supervision, focused on derivatives trading operations, control, and development projects.

Throughout their career, Jani has demonstrated expertise in trading operations, market supervision, project management, and strategic planning in the financial and manufacturing industries.

Jani Ahola began their education in 1991 at Kankaanpää High School. Jani completed their high school education in 1994. After that, they attended the Helsinki School of Economics and Business Administration from 1995 to 1999 and obtained their MSc degree in Finance.
