Harry Mavrakis

Chief Enterprise Architect at Eurobank

Harry Mavrakis has a strong background in the banking industry, with a wealth of experience in various roles. Harry started their career at Emporiki Bank in 1993 as a Software Developer, where they participated in projects as an Analyst or Programmer. Harry then moved to Eurobank in 1998, where they held multiple positions. Harry served as a Team Leader for Altamira Architecture and Deposit Products Application, leading a project to replace Eurobank's Core Banking System. Harry later became an Assistant Manager for the Head of Deposit Products Application, On-line, responsible for a core application serving millions of customers. Harry then transitioned to Assistant Manager for Group IT Application Architecture, defining principles and standards for application development. Harry also served as the Assistant Manager for Group IT ESB Application Management, responsible for the Enterprise Service Bus application and e-Banking applications. Their most recent role at Eurobank is as the Manager and Head of Systems Integration Division. In June 2021, they took on the role of Chief Enterprise Architect. Throughout their career, Harry has demonstrated strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to successfully execute projects.

Harry Mavrakis has a Bsc degree in Computer Science from the University of Crete, which was obtained from 1988 to 1989. Prior to that, they also obtained a Bsc degree in Physics from the University of Crete, from 1984 to 1988. In addition to their formal education, Harry has various certifications, including being an IBM Champion in 2023 and obtaining certifications from Coursera and PEOPLECERT in 2018 and 2013, respectively.
