Rohita Sinha

Rohita Sinha, PhD, has an extensive work experience history in the field of bioinformatics and AI. Rohita is currently the Director of the Center of Excellence for Bioinformatics & AI at Eurofins Viracor. Prior to this role, they served as the R&D Director of Bioinformatics and a Senior Scientist at the same company.

Dr. Sinha co-founded Metagenome Analytics (MGA) and worked there as a Co-Founder for nearly seven years. Rohita has also contributed significantly to the University of Nebraska–Lincoln as a Research Assistant Professor and Research Associate, focusing on metagenomic data analysis.

Additionally, Dr. Sinha worked as a Bioinformatics Consultant at the Bioinformatics Core Facility and conducted their PhD research on computational modeling of protein-protein interactions at the University of Kansas.

Furthermore, they taught courses as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Kansas, specifically in the Department of Molecular Biosciences. Rohita'searly career involved working as a Trainee Research Assistant at Ingeneous Biotech, where they analyzed plant genomes, and as a Trainee Manufacturing Chemist at Cyper Pharma, where they ensured the quality of tablet production.

Rohita Sinha, PhD, has a strong educational background in bioinformatics. Rohita obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from C.C.S. Univ. in India between 1997 and 2001. In 2006, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Bioinformatics at the Indian Institute Of Information Technology Allahabad where they studied until 2006. Later, Rohita pursued their Ph.D. at The University of Kansas, specializing in Bioinformatics between 2006 and 2011.

In addition to their formal education, Rohita has also obtained several certifications in the field of machine learning and neural networks. In 2017, they completed the Coursera Course Certificates for "Convolutional Neural Networks" and "Structuring Machine Learning Projects" from Coursera. Rohita also obtained certifications for "Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization, and Optimization" and "Neural Networks and Deep Learning" from Coursera in the same year.
