Vangelis Floros

Vangelis Floros is an experienced professional in the fields of computing and infrastructure management, currently serving as a Program Officer Infrastructures at EuroHPC Joint Undertaking since December 2019. Previously, Vangelis held the position of Policy Officer at the European Commission from December 2017 to November 2019, and Project Manager at GRNET from December 2008 to November 2017, overseeing significant supercomputing projects and the development of data centers. Earlier roles include External Research Associate at the National Center for Scientific Research "Demokritos" and Research Associate at the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, where involvement included grid cluster administration and user support for European research projects. Vangelis began a career in technology as a Programmer at GE Capital and has a strong academic background with a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
