Lukas Metzger

Lukas Metzger has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Lukas currently holds the position of Committee Chair for the EMEA Education Subcommittee at IAAPA, a role they have held since January 2023. Prior to this, they were a European Education Subcommittee Member at IAAPA from January 2020 to December 2022.

From 2017 to the present, Lukas worked at Europa-Park, starting as an Executive Assistant and then progressing to the role of Parkleiter / Head of Park Operations in November 2019.

Before joining Europa-Park, Lukas served as the Senior Hotel Operations Manager at Heide-Park Soltau GmbH from January 2016 to November 2017. Lukas also had a brief role as a Guest Experience Coordinator at the same company from October to December 2015.

Prior to their time at Heide-Park Soltau GmbH, Lukas worked as a Dual Student for BWL - Freizeitwirtschaft at Heide-Park Soltau GmbH/Merlin Entertainments from October 2012 to September 2015.

Lukas started their career at Europa-Park (Rust, Germany) as a Guest Service/Operations employee from April 2009 to September 2012.

Before entering the entertainment industry, Lukas gained experience in the IT sector as an Informatikkaufmann at ChemCon GmbH from September 2007 to July 2010. Lukas was responsible for network administration, hardware and software maintenance, user management, website administration, and providing support and training to employees.

Additionally, Lukas worked at burda:ic GmbH as the Head of Ingame Support for a free2play MMORPG from February 2007 to August 2009. In this role, they developed an international team concept, managed a team of over 30 members, recruited and trained new team members.

Lukas Metzger attended DHBW Ravensburg from 2012 to 2015, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in BWL - Freizeitwirtschaft.
