Claire Skentelbery

Claire Skentelbery is a seasoned professional in the biotechnology and industrial sectors, currently serving as Chairwoman of the International Council of Biotechnology Associations and Director General of EuropaBio. With extensive experience in governance, Claire holds a position as a Governing Board Member of the Innovative Health Initiative and has been a Director at Skentelbery & Sons since 2008. Previous roles include Director General of the Nanotechnology Industries Association and Secretary General of the European Biotechnology Network. Claire has actively contributed to various industry coalitions like Industry4Europe and continues to engage with initiatives for women's representation in leadership through European Women on Boards. Claire earned a PhD in Biochemistry from Lancaster University.
