Oliver Salzmann

Oliver Salzmann has a diverse work experience that spans across multiple companies and roles. Oliver started their career as a student employee at Leibniz Association in 2011. Later, they worked as a student research assistant at Humboldt University of Berlin, where they focused on projects in economics history, database modelling, data transformations, data visualizations, and programming.

In 2014, Oliver took on the role of a data research analyst at Humboldt University, working on an economic history project involving data transformation and map visualizations. Oliver also continued their work as a student research assistant, supporting various projects at the Institute of Economics History.

Oliver's research experience continued at Stanford University, where they freelanced as a full-time research assistant. Oliver worked with Prof. Dave Donaldson and gained expertise in data analysis, data transformation, and data visualization using STATA, Matlab, and Python.

From 2019 to 2021, Oliver worked as a research assistant at the European University Institute, focusing on data analysis, transformation, and visualization using STATA, Matlab, and QGIS.

Currently, Oliver holds the position of Head of Metrics and Experiments at Europace AG, where they manage and oversees metric-related projects and experiments.

Oliver Salzmann completed their education in the field of Economics. Oliver first pursued a Bachelor of Science degree at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin from 2010 to 2013. Following that, they went on to obtain a Master of Science degree in Economics from the same institution, with the duration of this program being from 2013 to 2016. In 2012 and 2013, alongside their studies at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Oliver also attended Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen, focusing on Economics. Finally, they pursued their highest level of education, a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Economics at the European University Institute from 2017 to 2022.
