Andreas Demetriades

Andreas Demetriades serves as President of the History of Medicine Society at the Royal Society of Medicine and has held various leadership roles within the European Association of Neurosurgical Societies, including Immediate Past-President and Chairman of the Individual Membership Committee. In the medical field, Andreas works as a Consultant Neurosurgeon and Spinal Surgeon at NHS Lothian, is an Apothecaries Lecturer in the History of Medicine at The University of Edinburgh, and has previously acted as National Lead Clinician for the Scottish Acquired Brain Injury Network. Education credentials include a FEBNS in Neurosurgery from UEMS & EANS, an FRCS from The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, and a Master of Philosophy from the University of Cambridge, among other degrees in medicine and sciences.
