Caroline Galvan has a diverse range of work experience in various organizations. Caroline currently holds the position of Head of Operational Strategy at the IFC - International Finance Corporation, where they lead the Evolution Roadmap and co-authors the Development Committee Paper. Caroline is also involved in conceptualizing the Global Challenges Programs. Prior to this, they worked at EBRD as an Associate Director, where they played a key role in digital development and cybersecurity. Caroline also served as an Adviser to the Senior Vice-President CFO & COO during their secondment. Caroline Galvan was a Board Member and Chair of the Audit and Finance Committee at The Future Society, where they focused on advancing global governance of Artificial Intelligence. Caroline previously served as an Advisor at The AI Initiative and as a Lead Economist at the World Economic Forum, specializing in sub-Saharan Africa. Caroline began their career as a Research Economist with the European Commission.

Caroline Galvan pursued their education at various institutions. Caroline attained a Master in Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School in 2017. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Economics from Tilburg University in 2006 and completed an Erasmus program in Economics at Hanken School of Economics in 2005. Caroline also holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Economics from the University of Groningen, which they obtained between 2002 and 2005. Additionally, they studied Finno-Ugric Languages & Linguistics at the University of Groningen. In terms of certifications, they obtained a Certificate in ESG Investing from the CFA Institute in 2022, passed Level I of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) exam in 2020, and received a Certificate in Management, Leadership, and Decision Sciences from Harvard University in 2017.
