Charbel H. Boutros, MBA, currently serves as Associate Director of Risk Management - Special Assets at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), overseeing a portfolio of distressed assets across Europe, Asia, and Africa since January 2023. Prior experience includes a leadership role at FinDev Canada as Principal of Risk Management, where Charbel established financial risk management functions and managed distressed assets from April 2019 to December 2022. At the National Bank of Canada, Charbel held several senior managerial positions, including Head of Commercial Credit Workout, where strategies for high-risk commercial loans were developed, and Special Loans, focusing on high-risk corporate credit management.
