Maria de Melo

Maria De Melo is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in energy and infrastructure policy, currently serving as a Principal in the Sustainable Infrastructure Group at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) since September 2013. Maria’s role includes advising the Managing Director for Energy and Natural Resources and managing donor co-financing initiatives, focusing on fundraising, international aid, and policy development. Previous experience includes consulting at Eupportunity and working with the European Commission on the Western Balkans Investment Framework. Maria began a career in financial audit as an Analyst at Deloitte and holds multiple Master's degrees in European Political Economy and Economics from prestigious institutions, including The London School of Economics and Political Science and Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics.
