Michel Kohn

Michel Kohn is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in banking supervision and financial regulation. Currently serving as Senior Team Lead at the European Central Bank since October 2014, Michel also acts as Lead Supervisor in the ECB Representation in Washington D.C. at the International Monetary Fund, advising the ECB's Permanent Representative. Prior roles within the European Central Bank include Counsellor to the Executive Board and Principal Supervisor in International Supervisory Policy. Michel's earlier experience includes a brief tenure at Banca d'Italia and six years at the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier. Academically, Michel holds a Master's degree in Financial Economics from the University of Luxembourg, an Economics degree from Università Bocconi through an Erasmus exchange, and a Bachelor's and Maîtrise in Economics and Management from the University of Strasbourg.
