Andrea Horvat-Kramaric has extensive work experience in communication and management roles. Andrea is currently working as the Head of Communication and Spokesperson at the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) since March 2019. Prior to this position, Andrea worked at the European Commission for over a decade, serving as the Head of Communication, Partnerships and Networks from July 2013 to June 2018, and as a Programme/Project Manager from February 2006 to June 2013. Andrea also has experience in public administration, having worked at Medjimurje County in various roles, including Head of Service International Cooperation from October 2001 to February 2006, Head of Unit Economy and Environment Protection from June 2000 to October 2001, and Expert Associate for Economy from June 1998 to June 2000.

Andrea Horvat-Kramaric has a diverse education history. In 1993-1994, they attended the National Taiwan Normal University, where they focused on Chinese Studies without completing a specific degree. Andrea later pursued a Master of European Studies at the Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz. Finally, they obtained a Master of Economy from the University of Zagreb/Sveučilište u Zagrebu.
