George Kolostoumpis has extensive experience in technical evaluation and expertise within various European institutions, including roles as a High-Level Technical Expert for the Eurostars Programme EUREKA since 2014, focusing on project application assessments. As an External Scientific Expert for the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC), responsibilities include consultancy, impact evaluation, and reviewing scientific outputs. Additionally, George serves as an Independent Expert for the European Commission, evaluating Horizon 2020 and FP7 projects. Previously, experience was gained with the COST Office, contributing to the evaluation of proposals and assessing outcomes for European funding schemes. Educational qualifications include a PhD and MSc from City University, alongside a BSc from The University of Manchester, specializing in software engineering and business systems analysis.
