Charles Moore

Charles Moore currently serves as Programme Manager for Clean Power at the European Climate Foundation since May 2023. Prior to this role, Charles co-founded Ember Climate and held the position of Head of Policy from March 2020 to March 2023, focusing on data-driven insights and strategic communications for global clean power policies. Charles also worked as a Senior Energy & Policy Analyst at Sandbag Climate Campaign, advocating for the phase-out of coal power in Europe until March 2020. Earlier experience includes serving as a Senior European Gas Analyst at RWE Supply & Trading GmbH, where supply and demand analysis, as well as price forecasting, were key responsibilities. Charles began a career in energy markets as a Commercial Analyst under RWE npower's Graduate Scheme, completing various placements related to competitor analysis and renewable project development. Charles holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Physics from the University of Oxford, earned between 2007 and 2010.
