Anja Fourie

Anja Fourie currently serves as a Seconded National Expert to DG INTPA at the European Commission since September 2025. Prior to this role, Anja was a Senior Portfolio Manager at KfW, focusing on Mobility and Climate Finance in South Asia from October 2019 to September 2025. Anja's extensive experience at KfW Entwicklungsbank from July 2007 to October 2019 included positions as Senior Advisor specializing in equity transactions and as Senior Project Manager in Financial Sector Development, with a focus on microfinance, green finance, and branchless banking across various countries including Serbia, Bosnia, Ghana, and South Africa. Anja holds a Diplom-Kauffrau degree in Accounting, Finance, and Strategic Management from the University of Regensburg (1998-2003) and a Bankkauffrau degree from HypoVereinsbank (1995-1998).
