Mairéad McGuinness

Mairéad McGuinness is an experienced policy officer currently serving in the Asset Management Unit of the European Commission since September 2024. Prior to this role, Mairéad worked at the Central Bank of Ireland from 2015 to October 2024, holding various positions including Senior Legal and Policy Specialist focusing on AML/CFT and financial sanctions, Senior Supervisor for asset management supervision, and Funds Authorisation Associate. Mairéad has also gained experience as a secondee at the Financial Conduct Authority, an investment funds solicitor at Zeidler Group, and an insurance associate at iA Financial Group. Early legal training included a position as a trainee solicitor at Fergus A Feeney Solicitors.
