Peter Martens is a Senior Core Fellow at the Institute for Advanced Study since September 2022 and has been a Professor at Saint Louis University since 2019. Martens also serves as a Scientific Consultant for the European Commission's Innovative Training Network program focused on "Human Freedom and Dignity" since 2016. Previously, Martens held the position of Chair of the Department of Theological Studies and Associate Professor at Saint Louis University from 2015 to 2018, and was a Visiting Assistant Professor at Yale Divinity School from 2007 to 2009. Martens earned a PhD in Theology/Theological Studies from the University of Notre Dame.
