Vincent Verouden is a seasoned economist currently serving as a Senior Economist at the European Commission since November 2025, focusing on competition policy evaluation and enforcement within DG Competition. Since January 2024, Vincent has also been a co-lecturer for the Master seminar "Competition Policy" at Tilburg University and has lectured at the Brussels Study Center since March 2014. In addition, Vincent holds a position on the Editorial Board of the European State Aid Law Quarterly and was recently involved in the Dutch parliament as a member from September to November 2025. Recognized as a Solvay Fellow by Vrije Universiteit Brussel for contributions to economics, Vincent has previously directed E.CA Economics and served on the Steering Committee of the Association of Competition Economics. With a Ph.D. and Master's in Economics from Tilburg University, Vincent has a deep academic and practical background in the field.
