Larissa Schuurman

Deputy Director, Strategic Partnerships at European Council on Foreign Relations

Larissa Schuurman has extensive experience in various roles at Transparency International, where they worked from 2004 to 2021. Larissa'sroles included Team Lead for Membership Accreditation, Coordinator for Membership Accreditation, Programme Lead for Aid Effectiveness, Coordinator for Global Thematic Initiatives, Coordinator for Integration and Learning, Group Executive Coordinator, and Assistant to the Director of Global Programmes. Larissa was responsible for a range of tasks, including coordinating accreditation assessments, managing relationships with external stakeholders, overseeing project implementation, and facilitating communication between departments. Prior to their work at Transparency International, Schuurman also gained experience as a Marketing Coordinator at Hannover Fairs Australia and as an Office Manager and Personal Assistant to the CEO at SpinVox. In 2021, they joined the European Council on Foreign Relations as the Deputy Director for Strategic Partnerships.

Larissa Schuurman completed their education at the University of Sydney in 2007, where they received a degree in International Relations and Politics with a specialization in Political Science and Government. Prior to that, from 2000 to 2004, they attended Royal Holloway, University of London, where they earned a degree in European Studies with a focus on German, French, and Management. Larissa Schuurman also has additional certifications in Ethics in Work, Facilitation and Mediation, Gender Mainstreaming in programmes, Monitoring and Evaluation approaches, and Project Management.
