Dr. Jim Djontu

Dr. Jim Djontu is an accomplished land-use governance expert currently serving at the European Forest Institute since April 2019. With a rich background in management and advisory roles, Dr. Djontu worked as a MEAL Advisor at World Vision UK from July 2018 to June 2020 and held the position of Manager at Palladium from December 2011 to July 2018. Dr. Djontu earned a PhD in Forest and Environmental Governance from Albert‐Ludwigs‐University of Freiburg in Germany, following a Master’s degree in Tropical Forestry and Management from the Technical University of Dresden. Dr. Djontu’s academic journey began with a Degree of Engineer in Forestry, Water, and Wildlife from the University of Dschang in Cameroon.
