Magda Bou Dagher Kharrat is a seasoned academic and researcher with a comprehensive background in molecular biology and plant genetics. Currently, Magda serves as a Membre correspondant associé at Académie d’Agriculture de France and as Principal Scientist at the European Forest Institute. Magda has held multiple roles at Université Saint-Joseph de Beyrouth since 2002, including Professeur, Professeure associée, Directeur du Département des Sciences de la Vie et de la Terre, and Responsable du cycle Master for the Masters SIMGF and BTP. Additionally, Magda has contributed to the IUCN SSC Conifer Specialist Group from 2017 to 2020 and was an invited researcher at Université Paris-Saclay in 2021-2022. Educational qualifications include an HDR in plant genetics from Paris-Sud University, a PhD in molecular biology from Pierre and Marie Curie University, a Master’s degree in molecular biology from Université de Picardie Jules Verne, and a Bachelor's degree in zoology/animal biology from Lebanese University.
