Filipe Diaz currently serves as the Head of Division for Institutional Representation at the European Investment Bank (EIB) since January 2008, overseeing the EIB Group's External Offices across the EU, the UK, and the US, and ensuring strategic implementation through decentralized relationship management. Previous leadership roles at EIB include Head of Division for Member States Representation and Head of Unit for Strategy, Policy, and Institutional Affairs in the Neighbouring Countries Department. Filipe's legal expertise was developed through various positions, including Senior Mandate Officer, Deputy Head of the Office of the President, and roles in the Legal Department focusing on Spain and Portugal. Prior to EIB, Filipe worked as an Associate at Abreu & Marques e Associados and had experiences at 7BR and Reed Smith LLP. Filipe holds a law degree from Universidade Católica Portuguesa and has completed several postgraduate programs, including in Accounting and Finance and English Commercial Law.
