Jan Sliva

Jan Sliva is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in compliance, development aid, and media strategy. Currently serving as Senior Head of Unit for Compliance and Operations Outside the EU at the European Investment Bank since October 2021, Jan leads a team focused on AML/CFT due diligence and compliance assessments. Previously, Jan held the position of Director at the Czech Development Agency, overseeing numerous large-scale development projects globally. Jan's earlier roles at the European Investment Bank included Head of the Vice President's Office, where responsibilities encompassed advising on significant financing operations. Additional experience includes serving as a spokesman for the Czech EU Presidency and as an EU correspondent for the Associated Press, along with a background in broadcasting for BBC World Service. Jan holds an M.A. in English and American Studies from Charles University and a Master in Finance from Solvay Business School.
