Johannes Virkkunen

Johannes Virkkunen currently serves as the Head of Life Sciences and Transaction Services Division - Equity Investments at the European Investment Fund (EIF), a position held since June 2012. Within EIF, Johannes has held several key roles, including Head of Division - Front Office Business Support, Head of ICT Investments, Venture Capital, Investment Manager, and Legal Counsel. Prior to this, Johannes was an International MBA candidate at IE Business School from April 2011 to May 2012 and worked as a Legal Counsel at EIF from September 2007 to March 2011. Additional experience includes a role as a Foreign Legal Intern at Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler LLP in 2007 and as an Associate at LMR Attorneys Ltd from August 2005 to April 2007. Johannes holds an MBA from IE Business School, a Master of Laws from the University of Chicago Law School, and a Master of Laws from the University of Helsinki.
