Dragos Tudorache currently serves as a Member of the European Parliament, where Dragos chairs the Special Committee on Artificial Intelligence in a Digital Age and is the AFET Committee Rapporteur on Moldova. Prior to this role, Tudorache was Head of Unit at the European Commission from 2017 to 2019 and held various ministerial positions in the Guvernul României from 2015 to 2017, including Minister of the Interior and Acting Minister of Communications. Tudorache's earlier career included serving as Head of Unit for DG HOME at the European Commission from 2005 to 2016, providing judicial support with the United Nations in Kosovo from 2003 to 2005, and working with the OSCE on judicial programs from 2000 to 2003. A judge at Judecatoria Galați from 1997 to 2002, Tudorache holds a Master of Laws from Stockholm University and a Licentiate degree in Law from Universitatea „Alexandru Ioan Cuza” din Iași.
