Mads Nyegaard Outzen has a diverse work experience starting in 2000 as a Teacher at Røde Kors. From 2001 to 2006, they worked as a Lecturer at Università degli Studi di Roma 'La Sapienza'. In 2006, they joined the European Parliament, starting as a Translator and later working as an Advisor. From 2018 to 2020, they served as the Head of Audio Capacity Service, and then became the Head of Audio & Podcast Unit until 2021. Mads also took on various acting leadership roles and is currently the Head of Strategy and Innovation as well as the Acting Head of Multilingualism and External Relations.
Mads Nyegaard Outzen obtained a Master of Arts degree in Italian Language and Literature from Aarhus University between 1992 and 1999.
