Carla Rocha Gomes

Carla Rocha Gomes has extensive experience in research and project management within European institutions, currently serving as a Research Programme Officer at the European Research Executive Agency (REA) since April 2021, following a similar role at the Research Executive Agency from April 2013 to April 2021. Prior roles include positions at the European Commission's Joint Research Centre, where Carla contributed as a Scientific/technical project officer, specializing in land use modeling and environmental impact assessments. Additional experiences include working as a researcher on a project focused on spatial perception and urban living and serving as a geographer and GIS technician in various institutions. Carla holds a Master’s degree in Spatial Planning and Environmental Planning and has completed postgraduate and licentiate degrees in Geography and Regional Planning from the New University of Lisbon.
