Solon Mias

Solon Mias is a Project Advisor with extensive experience in European research and development, currently working with the European Research Executive Agency on the Horizon Programme for Secure Societies since February 2023. Previously, Mias served as a Project Advisor at CINEA focusing on environmental water and maritime-coastal management from April 2021 to February 2023, and at the Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises on similar LIFE Programme projects from June 2016 to April 2021. Prior roles include contributions to maritime surveillance projects with the European Commission, serving as a Technical/market expert at EPIC, and providing consultancy for European research projects with CIAOTECH. Mias has a strong background in strategic research and technology with the European Defence Agency and holds a PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Cambridge.
