Thomas Vyzikas

Thomas Vyzikas is an experienced research professional and academic with a strong background in project management and evaluation within various European research agencies. Currently serving as a Research Programme Administrator at the European Research Executive Agency (REA) since October 2021, Thomas manages the evaluation of proposals in the Information Science and Engineering panel of MSCA Doctoral Networks, overseeing an annual budget of approximately EUR 160 million. In addition to this role, Thomas is an Adjunct Lecturer at the Open University of Cyprus, coordinating a course on Climate Change. Previous positions include Calls Evaluation Manager at CINEA, Project Adviser at the Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, and various roles at the European Research Council and Bio-based Industries Joint Undertaking. Thomas holds a Ph.D. in Marine Science and Engineering from the University of Plymouth and a diploma in Civil Engineering from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
