Prof. Dr. Med. Monika Gappa

Prof. Dr. med. Monika Gappa has a significant work experience in the field of respiratory medicine and pediatrics. Prof. Dr. med. Monika has held various leadership positions throughout their career. Currently, they serve as the President Elect of the European Respiratory Society, a prestigious organization in the field. Prior to this, they worked as the Head of Medical Department for Children and Adolescents at Evangelisches Krankenhaus Düsseldorf, specializing in allergology and pediatric pneumology. Prof. Dr. med. Monika was also the Head of Pediatric Department at Marienhospital Wesel. Before joining these hospitals, Prof. Dr. med. Monika Gappa worked as a Senior Physician at Medizinische Hochschule Hannover for a significant period of time.

Prof. Dr. med. Monika Gappa completed their education in Humanmedizin at Medizinische Hochschule Hannover from 1982 to 1988, earning their Staatsexamen degree during that time.
