Hedwige Nuyens

Hedwige Nuyens serves as the Managing Director of the International Banking Federation since September 2015, representing key national banking associations and fostering partnerships globally. In addition, Nuyens contributes as a Member of the G7 Gender Equality Advisory Council and holds the position of Chair at E3G and European Women on Boards, promoting gender equality and climate solutions. Previously, Nuyens held significant roles at BNP Paribas, including Head of Group Prudential Affairs and Head of the Basel 2 Program, focusing on regulatory frameworks and risk management. As the Managing Director and Founder of Amazone Consult, Nuyens developed leadership training programs and authored a book on the glass ceiling. Nuyens has an extensive educational background, with degrees from prestigious institutions such as Harvard, MIT, and Cambridge, covering subjects from cybersecurity to sustainable finance.
