Joanne Dewar

Joanne Dewar is an influential figure in the FinTech sector, currently serving as Project Nemo Lead at Project Nemo since April 2024, focusing on advancing disability inclusion within the industry. In addition to this role, Joanne holds positions as Board Advisor for the European Women Payments Network, Mentor at Tech Nation for the 2024 Future Fifty cohort, and Non Executive Director at FinCrime Dynamics. Joanne is also the Chair of Judges for the Fintech Awards South West and an Ambassador for The Payments Association, where Joanne leads the Project ESG initiative for 2023. Previously, Joanne was a mentor for the Fintech stream at Creative Destruction Lab and held multiple leadership roles at Thredd from 2013 to 2023. Joanne has a strong foundation in management, having worked as a Project Manager at BP in 2006 and served as Branch Chair for the NCT Charity from 2010 to 2013. Joanne Dewar earned an MA Hons in Geography from the University of Oxford from 1991 to 1994.
