Ertuğrul Ural

Ertuğrul Ural has extensive work experience in data science and analysis. Ertuğrul started their career in 2010 at Isbank, where they worked as a Strategy and Corporate Performance Management/Branch Performance Management - Senior Ass. Specialist. In this role, they analyzed the overall performance of branches and identified areas for improvement. Ertuğrul also conducted research and implemented models to optimize branch sales targets.

In 2015, Ertuğrul joined Tanı Pazarlama ve İletişim Hizmetleri A.Ş. as a Data Scientist. Ertuğrul worked in this position for two years before joining GTech (G Teknoloji Bilişim San ve Tic A.Ş.) as a Data Scientist. At GTech, they contributed to data analysis and other related tasks.

In 2017, Ertuğrul transitioned to TUPRAS, where they served as a Senior Data Scientist. Ertuğrul stayed with TUPRAS for two years before moving to Vodafone in 2019. At Vodafone, they continued to work as a Senior Data Scientist until 2020.

Most recently, Ertuğrul joined Eurowings Digital in 2020 as a Senior Data Scientist, where they are currently employed.

Ertuğrul Ural completed their Master's degree in Financial Economics from Istanbul Bilgi University in 2011. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Informatics (German) from Marmara University in the years 2004 to 2009.

In addition to their formal education, Ertuğrul has also earned several certifications. In 2020, they completed the "Natural Language Processing with Classification and Vector Spaces" course from Coursera and became a "Pega Certified Data Scientist" through Pegasystems. In 2019, they obtained a "Machine Learning Engineer Nanodegree" from Udacity, and in 2018, they completed the "Neural Networks and Deep Learning" course from Coursera. Additionally, in 2013, they obtained the "SPSS Modeler Predictive Modeling" certification from SPSS Türkiye, and in 2011, they acquired the "SPSS Modeler Data Manipulation" and "SPSS Modeler Data Mining" certifications from the same institution. Ertuğrul also completed the "Excel VBA Programming" course from Bilge Adam in 2011 and the "Big Data and Business Analytics Certificate" program from ITU in 2019. Lastly, they acquired the "Spark" certification from Udacity in February 2020 and completed the "The Ultimate Hands-On Hadoop-Tame your Big Data" course from Udemy in February 2019.
