Sami Niemela

Sami Niemela has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Sami is currently the Head of ICT at Evac Group, where they lead the global ICT team in budgeting, projects, architecture, and strategy. Prior to that, they served as the Head of IT Operations at Aidian, managing budgeting, projects, and support delivery processes. Sami also played a significant role in building the company's IT operations after divestment. Before Aidian, Sami held various positions at Orion Corporation, including Head of Business IM, R&D & End User Solutions, and Head of Solution Delivery. Sami was responsible for coordinating IT system support, managing end user solutions, and overseeing IT systems for R&D. Additionally, Sami worked as a Development Manager at Helsinki Heavy Metal Ltd, where they managed software production processes and quality management. Sami also gained experience at Futuremark Corporation and Teleware Oy in project management and training roles, respectively. In the early stages of their career, Sami worked at Oy Sokos Ab, where they developed processes and trained employees in the retail industry.

Sami Niemela received a M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering and Management from LUT University, where they studied from 1995 to 2000.
