Mauricio Chávez

Mauricio Chávez has a strong background in engineering and teaching. Mauricio currently works as a Back-End Engineer at Eva since 2023. Prior to that, they were a Tech Instructor at Bedu from 2019 to 2023, where they taught technologies like Django, Python, and JavaScript. Mauricio gained experience as a Software Engineer I and Back-End Engineer at Uber from 2021 to 2023. At Cornershop by Uber, they worked as a Back-End Engineer from 2021 to 2022, focusing on developing features with Django, Python, and Postgres. Before that, they were a Full-Stack Engineer at Artificial Nerds from 2020 to 2021, where they implemented key features using Express, Node.js, JavaScript, and Vue.js. In 2019, they worked as a Full-Stack Engineer at Eterna Digital, and from 2018 to 2019, they held the same role at Klatus.

Mauricio Chávez began their educational journey in 2017 at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science. Mauricio studied there until 2022. In 2022, Mauricio continued their higher education at UTEL Universidad, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Engineering, which lasted until 2025.

In addition to their formal education, Mauricio has also obtained several certifications. In June 2022, they obtained the certifications of "Experto Guía" and "Experto Inspirador" from Bedu. Earlier, in May 2021, they received a certification in "Backend with NestJS" from Platzi. This was preceded by several other certifications from Platzi, such as "Business Model Canvas," "Effective Time Management," "JavaScript Testing with Jest," "Professional Software Architecture Course," and "Software Architecture Fundamentals," all obtained in March 2021. Before that, in August 2020, they completed a course on "DialogFlow Course: Voice Chatbots Programming" from Platzi.

Furthermore, Mauricio obtained a certification in "Vue JS Essentials with Vuex and Vue Router" from Udemy in June 2020. In July 2019, they achieved the "Black Belt" certification from Dev.F. Additionally, they obtained certifications in "Flask," "React.js," "Curso de Desarrollo Web Online," "Django Basic Course," and "Python Hands-on Course" from Platzi in 2019. Mauricio's skillset also includes certifications in "Java," "Javascript," and "Python" from CódigoFacilito obtained in 2018.

Moreover, Mauricio acquired the certification of "Preventing Workplace Harassment & Discrimination" from Uber in June 2022.
