Norbert Couvreur

Norbert Couvreur has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several industries and positions. Norbert began their career in 1982, working at the Epcot Center Walt Disney World in Florida as a Supervisor. In 1984, they transitioned to the Wyndham Hotel SeaWorld, where they served as a Restaurant Supervisor for almost two years. After that, in 1986, Couvreur joined Sheraton Hotels & Resorts as an Executive Assistant Manager, a role they held for nearly 14 years. In 2000, they moved on to the South Pacific Hotel Management Group, where they served as Deputy General Manager until 2002. From 2003 to 2019, Couvreur worked at Beachcomber Resorts & Hotels as a General Manager. Most recently, they held the position of Chief Operating Officer at Evaco Group from September 2020 to December 2021. Currently, they are working as the Country Chief Executive Officer for Secret Croatia at Evaco Group, starting in January 2022.

Norbert Couvreur obtained a Bachelor's degree from the Institution Notre-Dame, which they attended from 1976 to 1978. In addition to their degree, they have acquired various certifications throughout their career, including Life Style from Hyatt International Hotels in March 1998, Interpersonal Skills from Masterclass International in March 1994, Managing Change from Masterclass International in December 1993, Leadership at Sheraton from Sheraton Lagos Hotel & Towers in October 1993, Food and Beverage Management from The Educational Institute of the American Hotel & Motel Association in May 1993, and Financial Accounting for the Hospitality Industry from The Educational Institute of the American Hotel & Motel Association in February 1993. Norbert also received certifications in Sheraton Sales Negotiation from ITT Sheraton Corporation in September 1992, Team Briefing from Abuja Sheraton Hotel & Towers in July 1992, ESI and Performance Appraisal Programmes from ITT Sheraton Europe, Africa, Middle East Division in February 1992, and Building the Top Team from Abuja Sheraton Hotel & Towers in July 1991 and Benin Sheraton Hotel in May 1991. Norbert Couvreur further obtained a certification in Marketing for Middle Management from Cornell University School of Hotel Administration in November 1990. Prior to this, they were recognized as Trainer of the Year 1987 by Edinburgh Sheraton, and completed Train the Trainer program at Edinburgh Sheraton in December 1988. Additionally, Norbert Couvreur obtained a Master certification in Cookery and Food Restaurant Services Guild in December 1988, and became a Charter Member of Wyndham Hotel Sea World in December 1985. Lastly, they completed the Personal Development Program from the Industrial Society of London in September 1982.
